AI in a Minute - Video series
There are business leaders who want to have meaningful conversations about AI, but many of them don’t know where to start. The Microsoft Cloud team saw an opportunity to educate this demographic and gain brand trust, so I helped them create a series of five visually vibrant videos, each explaining different topic on AI in a conversational tone. And yes, each video is only 1 minute long.

Process overview
In a sea of hour-long lecture videos about AI, this series stands out. You only need a minute!
Research AI with… AI?
I always ask for a breakdown of technical concepts before the story phase of a video. In this case, the best person to talk to about AI was, well, an AI! While we fact-checked along the way, ChatGPT was all too eager to tell me about Large Language Models.
Story and design
I had the privilege of working with best-in-class copywriters, illustrators, and motion designers. We wrote, drew, re-wrote, and re-drew lots of different ways of explaining AI concepts in the most succinct, accurate, and entertaining ways.
Motion design
In addition to understanding technical concepts deeply enough to visualize them, I also needed to offer sketches for specific sequences, a.k.a. animatics! This helped us communicate more clearly towards animating the final videos.
As of this writing, the AI in a Minute series has over 148K views in total on YouTube.
The subjects are: Generative AI, Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, Vector Search, and Responsible AI. Check out the playlist below!
